1) On your server, download and run the license checker service:

• Make a note of the installation folder ready for step 2.
• Edit the NKLS.ini file to set the port that you'll allow the client PC's to use to check their license status, but please leave everything else in the file as-is. PLEASE NOTE THIS FILE IS IN C:\PROGRAMDATA

 

2) Install the service by using this command from an elevated command prompt:

 

>  cd <installation folder you noted in step1>

> NKLS40EK /INSTALL /SERVICE

3) On the first client PC, please install this version:

 

https://downloads.magiclogic.com/CubeIQ51Setup.exe

 

4) On the first client PC, download and unzip this in the same folder as cubeiq5.exe:

 

https://downloads.magiclogic.com/RegisterConcurrent5.zip

 

5) Edit the netkey.ini file to set the ServerAddress and ServerPort to link to the license server and the port you selected in step 1. Every client will need this ini file after installing, so keep a copy handy!

 

6) Run the RegisterConcurrent5.exe and send us the code. We'll send an activation code back for the correct number of users. This is the only time you will need to register.

 

7) On every other client PC, simply install this (same file as in step 3):

… and drop the Netkey.ini that you modified in step 5 into the folder where cubeiq5.exe got installed.

 

Each client should now be able to start up fully registered, up to the maximum number of authorized users. Once someone logs out, a new user should be able to log in successfully.
