How to Create a Container

Overview

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to create a container in the Cube-IQ Software (standalone and web versions).

Requirements

1. Cube-IQ software installed on your system.
2. Or access to Cube-IQ Web.

Procedure

Follow these steps to register your Cube-IQ software container:

1. Open Cube-IQ and navigate to the Containers tab.

   
    

2. Click on the New button to create a new container entry.

   
    

3. Enter Container Information. Required fields include:

   1. Container ID:
      This is the unique name or identifier used to reference the container later. Choose something descriptive and easy to remember.

   2. Container Dimensions:
      Enter the Depth, Width, and Height of the container. Make sure the units (e.g., inches, centimeters) match your system's default settings.

   3. Container Type:
      Select the type that best matches your container (e.g., Pallet, Truck, Carton). This helps Cube-IQ apply the correct logic during load planning.

4. (Optional) Fill in additional fields such as Maximum Weight, Tare Weight, or Usable Volume if your operation requires them.

5. Click OK or Save to complete the registration.

Your container is now added and ready to be used in Cube-IQ load planning.
