This article will walk through how to set up concurrent installations for Customers who have purchased concurrent licenses of the Cube-IQ application.

Setting Up Concurrent Installation for Cube-IQ
Follow these steps to set up a concurrent installations of Cube-IQ across your network. This process involves setting up a license server and configuring client PCs.
Step 1: Install the License Checker Service on the Server
- Download and run the license checker service from the following link: Download CubeIQ License Server
- Make a note of the installation folder location for use in Step 2 below.
- Locate the
NKLS.inifile in theC:\PROGRAMDATAfolder. Edit the file to set the port that will be used by client PCs to check their license status. Do not modify any other settings in this file.
Step 2: Install the License Server Service
- Open an elevated Command Prompt (Run as Administrator).
- Navigate to the installation folder you noted in Step 1 using the following command:
cd <installation folder> - Install the service by running the following command:
NKLS40EK /INSTALL /SERVICE - Refer to the brief help file,
NetKey.chm, located in the installation directory for additional assistance.
Step 3: Install Cube-IQ on the First Client PC
- Download and install Cube-IQ on the first client PC using the following link: Download CubeIQ Setup
- Download and unzip the following file in the same folder as
cubeiq5.exe: Download RegisterConcurrent5 - Edit the
netkey.inifile to set theServerAddressandServerPortto match the license server and port configured in Step 1. - Keep a copy of the modified
netkey.inifile for use on additional client PCs.
Step 4: Register the License
- Run the
RegisterConcurrent5.exetool on the first client PC. - Send the generated code to Magic Logic Support.
- Magic Logic will provide an activation code for the specified number of users.
- Enter the activation code to complete the registration. This is the only time registration is required.
Step 5: Configure Additional Client PCs
- Install Cube-IQ on each additional client PC using the same setup file: Download CubeIQ Setup
- Copy the modified
netkey.inifile from Step 3 into the same folder ascubeiq5.exeon each client PC.
Step 6: Verify Installation
- Each client PC should now be able to start Cube-IQ fully registered, up to the maximum number of authorized users.
- Once a user logs out of Cube-IQ on a client PC, another user will be able to log in.
