Overview
Cube-IQ and BlackBox includes a powerful feature called Preferred Container Selection, which enhances control over how loads are optimized by allowing you to guide the software toward using specific containers first.
When this feature is enabled, Cube-IQ and BlackBox prioritizes a designated container or set of containers—marked as preferred—during the load planning process. During optimization, Cube-IQ first attempts to fit the entire product load into the preferred container(s).

- Cube-IQ (Web or Standalone).
- Blackbox.

- Under User Data, select the preferred option.
- Add containers to the Containers to load section.
- Optimize the load.
- If the preferred container cannot accommodate the full load—either due to dimensional constraints, weight limitations, or packing inefficiencies—Cube-IQ automatically falls back to its standard container selection logic.
