Product Information
Example Setup
We have a long container.
There are two heavy pink products and eight light green products.
-
Without COG control, the software places the heavy pink products at the back of the container.
Accessing Center of Gravity Settings
Click Settings in the top navigation bar.
Select the Operational Settings tab.
-
Find the Center of Gravity options under the label Range for Center of Gravity Location.
Set minimum and maximum positions for the COG.
Use percentages of the container’s length and width.
Example 1: Moving the Center of Gravity Toward the Center of the Container
Set Minimum % of length from back to 40%.
-
Set Maximum % of length from back to 60%.
-
When you reoptimize the load, the heavy pink products are now loaded in the center of the container.
Example 2: Moving the Center of Gravity Toward the Front of the Container
Set Minimum % of length from back to 75%.
-
Set Maximum % of length from back to 95%.
-
When you reoptimize the load, the heavy pink products are now loaded closer to the front of the container.
